BIG UPDATE! - News, News! - Production Set To Begin!

How's it?! We wanted to let all of you in The Broken Nation know that we are about to begin production on the final songs for our long overdue debut album. That's right, debut. A lot of you know me from Kevin Elliot and The Broken but this is the first release from THE BROKEN. All new members, (except for me, of course), and a revitalized sound. We've been writing for the past six months with an extremely talented writer/producer and I know you're gonna love what we have in store for ya. We've actually already completed 16 songs, fully produced and recorded, many of which you've heard. However, we were lucky enough to land a great new manager in Allison Hamamura, a true pro who's been and is involved in every aspect of the music biz. She's been the head of A&R and numerous major record labels...she heard and saw something in us and chose to take us on. She, and I, felt that we had more in us and sent us back into writing sessions. The result is what you'll be hearing at the conclusion of production which is slated to kick off at the end of the month, (Jan). We're not scrapping the other songs, we're just going to have more to choose from so we can put together the best album possible. Lastly, I know we haven't been doing the greatest job at updating our sites, but all that is about to change. We've hired a great website promotional team and will be much more active in responding to comments, questions and just keeping you more informed overall. We'll also be posting weekly video updates from the studio so you can witness some of the behind-the-scenes antics...stay tuned!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us at The Viper Room on Tuesday as we kicked off the Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF)! We had a great time and appreciate all of you who packed the house! We're in daily sessions with some very cool producers writing the final songs for our long awaited new album and we're sure you're gonna dig what we have coming. Check back often for updates on future shows and more exciting news. We now have new management and promise to keep you updated on all of the exciting things to come! Stay tuned!

AUSTIN - HERE WE COME!

Hey there, everybody! We just wanted to remind everyone that we'll be headed to Austin, TX this weekend to play at the Old Pecan Street Festival! We are one of the headlining acts on the Main Stage at 7th and Neches this Saturday. We hit the stage at 4:00 and will be playing a full hour set...we'll even be playing a few songs live for the first time! Tell all of your friends and come down to one of the country's largest street festivals. Also, we'll have brand new t-shirts, stickers and a sampler CD with songs off of our upcoming album! Don't worry, you'll still have time to catch the Kentucky Derby after our show, ha! We hope to see you there!!!!!!
